Maple Creme Puffs
Our baker Sam developed this recipe this year. They sell out very fast and we had a lot of requests for the recipe. However, this recipe is not for the faint of heart! It is the most difficult recipe we've ever shared! If you want to challenge yourself and your baking skills, this is the recipe for you! If you want to skip that you can always just call us and order some of these and we will have them ready for you when you arrive. Either way, these delicate pastries are filled with delicious soft maple pastry cream and are a wonderful spin on a classic dessert.

Aunt Bea's Maple Sponge Cake with Vanilla Glaze
One of our bakers had a birthday. Since we didn't think she should have to bake herself a cake- we decided to test this family recipe on her. This recipe comes from Roger Aldrich's Aunt Bea. It's a sweet cake, but not overly so. It would go well as a light dessert with coffee after a dinner party, and if you have any left over, we don't think anyone would judge you if you chose to have a slice for breakfast the next day too.

Maple Sugar Cookies
These sugar cookies have crispy edges, but soft centers. The brown edges bring out the maple flavor which makes this an interesting twist on a classic.

Nancy's Maple Oatmeal Cookies
In honor of our matriarch, Nancy Aldrich, who ran Polly's from the 1960's through to the early 2000's we are sharing one of her own recipes. Nancy passed away on Dec 15th, 2016- but her memory will live on through all of us here at Polly's. We hope you enjoy this delicious cookie and make them with as much love as Nancy would have.

Oatmeal Maple Scones
These oatmeal maple scones are hearty and filling with just enough sweetness. The texture is soft because of the oats that are in our mix. It is a perfect sweet morning treat!

Easy Cheesy Beer Bread
This is a very easy recipe. Incredibly easy! And tasty! And perfect for anytime of year! We're obsessed now. Beer bread is a perfect place to start if you're just getting into baking- or if you're an experienced baker who wants to make something quick and easy. This recipe uses our pancake mix as a base. While we list our recipe below, feel free to experiment by using different cheese, or adding herbs. If you like a kick, add some jalapeno, or try a really savory style and add some black pepper and Parmesan. It leaves you with a fluffy light bread that is very versatile.
